Yay for public embarrassment! The other day I decided to take a walk to the local park just to blow off a little steam and get rid of some excess energy. The park is roughly a mile down the valley from my dorm, and I must say that since its fall time, it is rather beautiful. At the park I chose to sit down on one of those porch swings that was mounted in an A-Frame type setup. Not five minutes after I sit down, the entire support system for the swing completely collapses. o_0 I guess its natures sort of way of telling me that I need to lose a little weight. The sad thing is that I'm really not fat. Upon closer examination, I found out what really caused the swing to collapse. It turns out that all that was holding the frame together was nothing but three heavily rusted nails.
Luck was really not with me that day... On top of that, to add insult to almost injury, I look up to see that a small tugboat had pulled up to the docks beside the park. Inside the wheelhouse, I could see the captain laughing his ass off at me. Of course, chances are that he was laughing more at my facial expression then at what had happened. I really wish that I could have gotten a photograph of the tug itself. Her name is the Drew Scott, but the thing that struck me the most was that her livery was almost exactly like Sunshine's before he joined the Star Fleet. If I weren't so embarrassed, I probably would have fangirl squee'd right on the spot. ^^

What I love, is everything to me.
I prefer creativity, originality, dynamics and sassiness over cut and paste and paintfill and trace.
I learn from honest critique. Do you?

lolz Yuppers. Mine was like this old wood thing that looked like it had been in the yard for a million years. =o
I nearly toppled off my and my brother's old swing set. The plastic seat snapped on the tandem swing. I grabbed the frame to stop myself hitting the ground. My brother nearly fell off from laughing. The set stayed firmly in the ground for 15 years. Good old G. Stock.

In the end that's all we have: our memories - electrochemical impulses stored in eight pounds of tissue the consistency of cold porridge. In the end they define our lives.
